TERM: The “Start Your Engines Sweepstakes” (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on 6/24/09 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on 10/01/09  (the “Sweepstakes Entry Period”).

ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to individuals who are 21 or older at time of entry, have a valid U.S. driver’s license in good standing and who are legal U.S. residents who physically reside in the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, except residents of the states of Arizona, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, and Washington, as well as Puerto Rico, all U.S. Territories and Possessions and overseas Military Installations.  Employees, officers and directors of Hartford Fire Insurance Company and it’s affiliates (the “Sponsor”), Ventura Associates, Inc. and their respective parent companies and their divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates, resellers, agents, advertising and promotion agencies and any other persons involved with this promotion and immediate family members of the Sponsor, and Ventura Associates, Inc. (defined as mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter and spouse) and those living in their same household are NOT eligible to participate. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. By participating, all entrants (including the winners) agree to abide by these Official Rules. 

HOW TO ENTER: Method #1 Online Entry:  Visit www.StartYourEnginesinMiami.com and you will be given the option to request a free auto insurance quote and enter the sweepstakes or request a free auto insurance quote without entering the sweepstakes. If you select to request a free auto insurance quote and enter the sweepstakes, you will be entered upon completion of the online sweepstakes entry form.  If you do not wish to request a free quote, instructions for an alternate method of entry are provided under Method #2.  Online entries must be received between 12:01 a.m. ET on 6/24/09 and 11:59 p.m. ET on 10/01/09.  Online entrants subject to all notices posted online including, but not limited to, Sponsor’s privacy policy.
Method #2 Write-In:  To enter the sweepstakes without requesting a free auto insurance quote, print your name, address, birthdate, and phone number on a 3x5 card, place in an envelope, and mail to: “Hartford Start Your Engines Sweepstakes”, PO Box 9287, Medford, NY 11763-9287.  Write-in entries must be postmarked by 10/01/09 and received by 10/8/09.
Limit: one entry per person regardless of the method of entry.

PRIZES AND THEIR CORRESPONDING APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARV”):  One (1) Grand Prize:  A 6 day/5 night trip to Miami, Florida for Grand Prize winner and one (1) guest from November 18th-23rd, 2009.  Prize includes two (2) Grand Stand tickets to a famous race car event in Homestead, Florida (“Race”) scheduled to take place on November 22nd, 2009, an exclusive excursion with driver Clint Bowyer (“Driver”); Five (5) night standard double-occupancy hotel accommodations at a Miami area Holiday Inn; round trip economy air transportation for Grand Prize winner and guest from major airport nearest to Grand Prize winner’s residence; plus $500 spending money awarded in the form of a cash check in the Winner’s name  ARV: $4,065.   Thirty-three (33) First Prizes: A Hartford racing t-shirt (ARV: $7.15 each ). Total ARV of all prizes: $4300.  Date and location of exclusive excursion with Clint Bowyer at Sponsor’s sole discretion  Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
PRIZE DETAILS:  Meals, transportation other than that specified herein, hotel incidentals, gratuities, taxes or any other charges not included in Grand Prize are the sole responsibility of Grand Prize winner. Grand Prize Winner and guest must travel on dates designated by Sponsor and on the same itinerary. All travel is coordinated by Sponsor or Sponsor’s agent. Accommodations cannot be changed by Grand Prize winner. Winner will be provided with 125,000 PC points which will allow winner to book a five-night stay in a double occupancy room at most Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express branded location in the United States as Promotion Prize. Winner must be a Priority Club Rewards member, or enroll for free. Once winner has provided their PCR account number, PCR will deposit the 125,000 PC points into the winner account. Priority Club points will not be awarded for the free stay. If  Grand Prize winner resides within 150 miles of the Racetrack which is located at One Speedway Boulevard, Homestead, FL 33035-1501, ground transportation may be substituted for air travel at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.  In case of such substitution, no additional prize will be granted to the winner.  Grand Prize winner and guest are responsible for obtaining proper documentation (e.g., valid photo ID) prior to travel. Guest must be 18 years of age or older at time of travel. A parent or legal guardian must accompany a traveling minor. Actual value of trip depends on winner’s location and fares at time of travel.  If actual value turns out to be less than stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded in cash.  Each winner is responsible for all federal, state, local and sales and income taxes and any other incidental expense on prize not mentioned herein.  Grand prize winner will be required as a condition of receiving the prize to provide the Sponsor with his or her social security number so that appropriate reports may be filed with the appropriate tax authorities.  Entry and acceptance of any Prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use each winner’s name, prize won, hometown, likeness, photograph, voice, address (city and state) and biographical information for purposes of advertising, online posting, promotion and publicity without additional compensation. All prizes are guaranteed to be awarded assuming a sufficient number of entries are received. In the event that, for reasons beyond their control and not related to the winners, the Sponsor or independent judging organization is unable to award any prize as described in these Official Rules, they will substitute a prize of similar nature and equal or greater value at their sole discretion.  Prizes are non-assignable and non-transferable except to a surviving spouse.  Prizes are not redeemable for cash except as specified herein.  If a selected winner is unable to accept the prize in its entirety, the selected winner will forfeit the prize and the corresponding prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a separate random drawing among all eligible entries.  A winner is not a recipient of a prize until he/she has been verified or notified as a winner by the Sponsor or judges. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.  If any portion of the Grand Prize is cancelled or postponed, Sponsor will award remaining Grand Prize components and make no cash payment in lieu of the other component(s). Sponsor is only responsible for awarding remainder of prize should the famous race car event and/or exclusive excursion with Driver portion of Grand Prize be cancelled or postponed. If Driver is not available for any reason whatsoever, then the Sponsor will have no further obligation to the winner and/or guest.  If weather affects the ability for the winner and guest to redeem any portion of Grand Prize during the scheduled date and time, then the Sponsor shall have no further obligations to the winner and guest other than to supply the remaining elements of the Grand Prize minus the unavailable portion of Grand Prize. If Grand Prize is forfeited prior to Sponsor finalizing and paying for travel, and there is sufficient time to notify an alternate winner, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner.

WINNER SELECTIONS:  Random drawing to award prizes will be conducted on or about 10/05/09 from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Entry Period. Random drawing will be conducted by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes.  Winners need not be present to win. 

NOTIFICATION:  Winners may  be notified by email and/or phone and/or mail.  Two attempts will be made to contact the potential winner within a five (5) day period. If the potential winner fails to respond within the five (5) day period, or if the mail attempt is consistently returned as undeliverable or if any prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, it will result in disqualification, and the corresponding prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a separate random drawing.
Grand Prize winner will be required to complete, sign, notarize and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability and Publicity Release (where permissible by law) (collectively “Affidavit”) within five (5) days of date printed on notification or he/she will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected in a separate random drawing. Grand Prize winner’s guest will be required to execute and return a Liability and Publicity Release (where permissible) prior to travel or will not be permitted to accompany winner on trip. 
Sponsor is not responsible for prize notifications/affidavit(s) that are misdirected or not received.  If a prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, it will result in forfeiture of the prize and the corresponding  prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a separate random drawing. Prizes will be awarded within approximately 30 days after each winner verification.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Sponsor is not responsible if Sweepstakes cannot be implemented due to delays or interruptions caused by acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, utility outages or terrorism.  Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered, or mass entries or entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated devices are void.  The Sponsor and its respective affiliates, parent, subsidiaries or agents are not responsible for: (i) late, lost, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, stolen, misdirected, damaged or postage due entries or any other error whether human, mechanical or electronic; or (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment or carrier/network, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the telephone carrier’s system, Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes.  In the event of a dispute, the authorized subscriber of the email account used to enter the Sweepstakes will be deemed to be the Entrant and must comply with these Official Rules.  Authorized account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.  A potential winner may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the entry.

Each winner agrees that Sponsor, Richard Childress Racing (“RCR”) and their respective, affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, agents, employees, drivers, directors, or officers of these companies are not liable whatsoever for injury, damage, expense, accident, delay, irregularities, loss or claim caused or claimed to be caused, directly or indirectly, by participating in this Sweepstakes, or by the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize awarded. 

By participating and redeeming a prize, each winner releases Sponsor, RCR and their respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries and agents, employees, drivers, directors and officers from any and all loss, liability or damage resulting from or arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes and/or using prize.  Entrants agree that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or the determination of winners shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut or the appropriate Connecticut State Court; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to the actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will an entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights of claim to punitive, incidental and consequential damages and all other damages, other than for the actual out-of pocket expenses and any all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increase.  SOME JURSIDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILTY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements; and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor and the independent judging organization, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any sweepstakes it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and/or (ii) cancel the Sweepstakes if it becomes technically corrupted (including if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Sweepstakes), and to select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to withdrawal or cancelation.
LEGAL WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, DESTROY, TAMPER OR VANDALIZE THIS WEB SITE OR INTERFERE WITH THE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW
